Researched and written by the Office of the Historian of the U.S. House of Representatives, Hispanic Americans in Congress, 1822–2012 is the third of four congressionally mandated volumes about women and minorities who have served in Congress. The first two volumes were Women in Congress, 1917–2006 (Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 2006), and Black Americans in Congress, 1870–2007 (Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 2007).
